Day 7 - Black & White

I know, I know. Don't be sad.  I'm here w/pics of Day 7's mani! I would have loved to have posted yesterday but I was at work from 0630 to 2130.  It was quite a long day and I was lucky to get some sleep last night before work again this AM.  So that's why the mani is late.  However, I painted this the night before and wore it for a couple days in honor of Alabama's homecoming game today.  Which, might I add, UA just beat Vandy 34-0. Crazy awesome.  Okay, back to the nails.

Today's theme was Black and White and I went with an iconic look that has become associated with UA because of Paul "Bear" Bryant.  Houndstooth.  It's everywhere. On everything.  And now, I've made a statement with it too.  It says, ROLL TIDE ROLL!  I have gotten so many compliments on this look.  I've had a lot of ladies at work ask me how I did it or if I got it done at a nail shop.  They seem impressed when I tell them I did it.  Anyway, here they are!

What do you think?
I think they're pretty good...I've done this stamp before and it worked much better this time around.  It's not perfect but it looks decent at a distance.

I used the following:
2 coats of White on White by China Glaze
Konad Special Black is the stamp color and I used a Konad plate for the design.
Covered [of course] with 1 coat of SV.
RTR!

Pointer finger close up.
You can see imperfections in the stamp but it's def not noticeable from a distance.

It was such a beautiful day here in Tuscaloosa.
Thought I'd show you my view of the Black Warrior river.

You can see a part of the design missed the tip of my ring finger [far left].
Oh well, I'm not perfect...neither are my nails.
So, that is my Black and White.  Iconic pattern for a man that will always be a hero. Day 8 post coming up...
