Day 6 - Purple/Violet

I can't believe it's day 6 and I've been able to keep up with this! It has been such a busy week at work presenting my Residency research project to my advisors [quite nerve-wracking] but I've made it through that and tomorrow is TGIF. Anyway, on to the nails!

Today is Purple or Violet or whatever day. The last day of ROYGBV or, as I like to call them, boring days.  I tried to bring a little spice though.  Anywho, I used a really pretty, not to deep, purple today for this manicure.  It's called Coconut Kiss by China Glaze.  Not really sure what coconuts have to do w/purple but whatevs.  It works.

I like this purple a lot...I wasn't quite sure how I'd feel but I'm digging it.
Please disregard the glitter on the pinkie here. I got a little carried away with spicing up the plain
purple before I remembered to take pics of it alone.

I got home from work too late to take daylight pics so we'll have to save that for another day.
I still think it looks pretty dang good though.

Once again, I wore the plain color [well, not plain, but you know what I mean] to work and then decided to add a little more flavor once I got home.  The pinkie gives it away.  I actually painted some sparkly glitter over the purple and it looks amazing.  However, these pics don't do it justice...just see for yourself...

The color is an Ulta nail lacquer and it's name is Glitter Top Coat.

These pics don't really show how sparkly it is.  It's so much prettier IRL.
The glitter is actually pretty understated...it's almost toned down enough for work.
Me gusta.

So that's day 6! I don't think I'll be able to post pics of day 7 [which is already done!] until tomorrow night either so I'll try to take daylight pics before work...if I get to leave after the sun comes up which hasn't happened these last few days.  So, tomorrow is black and white...and since it's homecoming this weekend at the University of Alabama, I've done something in honor of my beloved team.  Most of you can probably guess, but it's still cute.

Oh, and I think imma start posting the polish bottle pics on here to so you can see how true the colors are to the bottle...and I'll also start posting pics of my hauls and nail mail. [Oh, nail blog lingo...I'm getting in the swing of things here...]  Until tomorrow!
